Apart from the children selected in the first phase, many children could not participate in the admission process or were not selected. For these children, the government has started the second phase of admission in the RTE scheme 2024. Applications for the second phase of RTE scheme 2024 will be taken from 2 April 2024 to 4 April 2024. In this, those children who had already applied for RTE 2024 will get a chance to refill the school choice. Within this period, interested students can refill their school preference list.

RTE Admission Phase 2 Eligibility
Under the RTE Scheme 2024, it is very important for the candidates applying in the second phase for the academic session of 2024-25 to follow certain eligibility criteria. These qualifications are as follows:
- Applicants are required to apply online for RTE 2024. If you have not applied earlier, you will not be eligible to apply in the second phase.
- The second phase provides for the refilling of school choice only. New applications will not be taken.
- Students who have been allotted school in the first phase and have taken admission will not be eligible to apply in the second phase.
- Students who have not been admitted to the school allotted in the first phase can update their school choice in the second phase.

RTE Admission Phase 2 Result
In the second phase of the RTE scheme 2024, the lottery and school allotment list for students updating their school choices will be released on April 8, 2024. Following this, students will be able to secure admission to their allocated schools from April 12 to April 18, 2024.
Important note: Only those students who have already applied can apply for the second phase of RTE 2024. At this stage, only changes can be made to the list of schools, but new applications will not be taken. This is an important instruction that all applicants should keep in mind.
What is RTE?
Rights to Education Act is an important law brought by the Government of India in 2009. This statute provides free and compulsory education to all children aged 6 to 14 years under Article 21-A of the Constitution of India. Its major provisions include 25% reservation, free education, government grants, curriculum and evaluation, teachers’ qualifications, and school infrastructure. This law is an important step to promote equality and access in the Indian education system.
Some important provisions of RTE 2024-25
- 25% Reservation: Provision to reserve 25% seats for poor and economically weaker children in private educational institutions (private schools).
- Free Education: No tuition fee is charged by the institution to the students taking admission under RTE.
- Government Grant: The tuition fee of all these students is given by the government to the concerned institute.

Eligibility criteria for RTE Admission 2024
| The age of the child should be between 6 to 14 years. |
| The child’s residence should be within a radius of 1 kilometer of the school. |
| The family of the child should be Economically Weaker Section (EWS). |
| The annual income of the child’s parents should not exceed Rs 2 lakh. |
| The child’s residence should be within a radius of 1 kilometre of the school. |
Application Process of RTE Admission 2024-25
- Application forms can be submitted online or offline.
- For online application, you have to visit the RTE website of the concerned state government.
- For offline applications, you have to contact the concerned school.
- Along with the application form, you need to submit the following documents:
- child’s birth certificate
- Child’s residence certificate
- The income certificate of the child’s parents
- Caste certificate of the child’s parents
- Aadhar card of the child’s parents
- The last date for submission of the RTE Admission 2024 application form is decided by the state government.
- The applications will be scrutinized by the respective school.
- The RTE Admission 2024 list of selected children will be displayed on the school website and notice board.

How to Apply for RTE Admission 2024-25?
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of this scheme www.rajpsp.nic.in.
- There, on the home page, you will get the option to apply online for students.
- Select this option and a registration form will open.
- Fill in all the information asked in that form correctly.
- Then, press the submit button. Your RTE Admission 2024 application will be completed under the RTE scheme 2024.
- Now, after the stipulated time, the list of beneficiaries will be released on the official website, in which you can see your name.
